READING DAY

Puthuvayil Narayana Panicker is known as the Father of the Library Movement in the Indian state of Kerala. N Panicker’s day was celebrated with the true spirit of knowledge and wisdom. To our PM’s note reading can help broaden one’s thinking and a well-read population will help India excel globally. He even said that the State Government has announced 19th June as the reading day.He urged every young person in the audience to take a pledge of reading and enable everyone to do so. Our school took the initiative of keeping an hour away from the entire schedule to make the students read a book. This created the atmosphere totally dipped in silence, the silence to the path of knowledge. In the assembly, children writers were honoured for their contribution in the school magazine. ‘Read and Grow’ is the slogan of Reading Day and that keeps the spirit of reading alive.

World Blood Donor's Day

Share a little, Care a little! - Donate Blood We observed “World Blood Donation Day” in the school in order to make the future generation aware about the importance of their blood. Celebrated every year on June 14 th , this day is an event to thank the blood donors around the globe and to raise awareness about the requirement for blood. For this year, the slogan is, “What can you do? Give blood. Give now. Give often.” As a part of the awareness programme, an inter-class poster making competition was held. The school Principal, Mrs. Asha Byju and Headmistress, Mrs. Sunitha Sunil graced the occasion by addressing the future generation.
