Annual Day is a moment of celebration where each and every child gets an opportunity to participate on the stage. It is a joyous occasion, which we all look forward to. For teachers it is a great opportunity, to showcase the talents they have nurtured in the children, and for the parents it is a matter of great pride to watch them on stage.
Christmas is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, we too, at School celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children. Tiny tots of montessori celebrated Christmas by exhibiting their talent through songs and dance performances.A play on the birth of Christ was the highlight of the Christmas celebration.
Every year November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day every year. “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country,” Jawaharlal Nehru once said. As a tribute to the first prime minister of India, who was lovingly called ‘Chacha Nehru’ by kids, it is observed to emphasise the importance of giving affection and love to children. We celebrated childrens day with colourful programmes which spread awareness about rights of children.
Puthuvayil Narayana Panicker is known as the Father of the Library Movement in the Indian state of Kerala. N Panicker’s day was celebrated with the true spirit of knowledge and wisdom. To our PM’s note reading can help broaden one’s thinking and a well-read population will help India excel globally. He even said that the State Government has announced 19th June as the reading day.He urged every young person in the audience to take a pledge of reading and enable everyone to do so.Our school took the initiative of keeping an hour away from the entire schedule to make the students read a book. This created the atmosphere totally dipped in silence, the silence to the path of knowledge. In the assembly, children writers were honoured for their contribution in the school magazine.‘Read and Grow’ is the slogan of Reading Day and that keeps the spirit of reading alive.
World Blood Donor's Day
Share a little, Care a little! - Donate Blood We observed “World Blood Donation Day” in the school in order to make the future generation aware about the importance of their blood. Celebrated every year on June 14 th , this day is an event to thank the blood donors around the globe and to raise awareness about the requirement for blood. For this year, the slogan is, “What can you do? Give blood. Give now. Give often.” As a part of the awareness programme, an inter-class poster making competition was held. Donation of blood means a few minutes to you but a lifetime for somebody else. Every healthy person should donate blood and do it often. Donate blood, save lives!
We celebrated “World Environment Day “on June 5, 2017. The assembly was organized to make children aware of increasing global warming. This year’s theme was rightly connected to our celebrations as our learners presented a melodrama. The theme was” How to connect ourselves to nature?”Children wore green jersey symbolizing “Save greenery”. The school Principal, Mrs. Asha Byju and Headmistress, Mrs. Sunitha Sunil graced the occasion by addressing the future generation.The school took initiative to give a sapling to the neighbourhood to foster plantation. As a part of in-school activity the seniors of our school became the role model to plant a plant.

Independence day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at MES International School Pattambi. The ceremony started at 10:00 AM in the school auditorium with large crowd of staff, students and parents.To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, our Principal-Asha Byju Mam unfurled the tricolor flag and all in union sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.

The anniversary of the first nuclear attack in Japan during the Second World War is celebrated as Hiroshima Day, named after the city that was attacked. It has been 71 years since the attack, which killed almost 1,40,000 people. To mark the day, people across the world remembered the victims with chants of "Hiroshima never again."
Social Club initiated the Hiroshima day celebration by lighting the candles and giving message of peace with placards.
